Telling the story of one of Reebok's most iconic shoes through the lens of community expression.

Overview

To accompany the launch of its new Sole Fury silhouette in Fall 2018, we worked with M&C Saatchi on Reebok’s #SplitFrom zine, inspired by the shoe’s split cushioning con­struc­tion. The ​“split form” innovation, originally developed in the ​’90s by legendary designer Steven Smith, exemplifies the importance of departing from con­ven­tion­al design — a calculated move that embodies the notion of addition by subtraction. The zine featured six visionary young creatives who possess the same forward-thinking spirit. They included filmmaker Tyler Ross, NYC-based female music collective DISCWOMAN, and celebrity stylist Jahleel Weaver.
