SIMILAR HIGH HOPES
Similar High Hopes is a retrospective study of utopian brutalism. Through an artistic lens, we look at mid-century architecture in three stages: concept, construction and deconstruction. It has been published by CanCanPress in Mexico City.
The zine is largely greyscale, with pops of colored landscapes, symbolizing the bits of hope for betterment and actualization that come through the drudgery of everyday life processes. At its core, the project is a tribute to a time where architects and designers had the audacity to apply their skillsets toward the optimization of communities. The full zine is available for preorder in our store.
